ASR Answer Seizure Ratio

Ratio of answered calls to total attempted calls. Key quality indicator for termination.

ACD Average Call Duration

Average call duration in seconds. Traffic quality indicator.

CLI Calling Line Identification

Caller number transmitted during a call. A valid and reliable CLI is essential for professional calls.

CPS Calls Per Second

Number of simultaneous calls that can be established per second on a SIP trunk.

DID / SDA Direct Inward Dialing / Direct Dialing Allocation

Geolocated phone number allowing calls to be routed directly to an extension or service.

BYOC Bring Your Own Carrier

Model allowing a customer to replace a platform's carrier (Twilio, Vonage…) with their own wholesale SIP provider.

PAI P-Asserted-Identity

SIP header for transmitting the validated caller identity. Used for caller ID presentation and compliance.

SLA Service Level Agreement

Contract defining service quality commitments: uptime, support response time, failover time.

STIR/SHAKEN Secure Telephone Identity Revisited / Signature-based Handling of Asserted information using toKENs

US telephone security standards (adapted in Europe) to authenticate call origin and reduce spoofing.

LNP Local Number Portability

Process allowing a subscriber to keep their phone number when changing operator.

CDR Call Detail Record

Detailed call record: calling/called numbers, duration, cost, status, codec. Basis of SIP billing.
